Resin bound paving across a commercial building forecourt and entrance plaza

Our commercial paving

A commercial surface has to do two jobs at once: absorb constant foot traffic and still look considered doing it. We lay seamless natural stone paving — not poured grey concrete — across entrances, forecourts and public realm for builders, developers, property managers and facilities teams, and the transformation happens in days, not weeks.

Every finish is specified to a documented standard, and the works are staged around trading hours so the site never has to close — out-of-hours and weekend pours are normal on live frontages. Where the existing hardstand is sound we resurface straight over it, avoiding demolition on an operating asset, and the permeable finish reduces what your grated drainage has to handle.

With Signature Resin Paving you get one point of contact and a job run properly: premium resin systems, an honest assessment of the site before we quote, a fixed written price with the programme spelled out, and a 10-year workmanship warranty (terms and conditions apply). The people who quote your project are the people who lay it.

Where it works

01

Entrances & forecourts

Building entries and approach paving where first impressions and durability both matter.

02

Retail & hospitality frontages

Public-facing paving that needs to stay open around trading hours.

03

Government & public realm

Plazas, footpaths and shared paths documented for accessibility and slip resistance sign-off.

Key benefits

  • Permeable finish, reducing what has to be handled by grated drainage
  • Resurfaces existing hardstand, avoiding a full demolition on an operating site
  • Staged around trading hours and other trades on site
  • Specified for the traffic and loading the surface actually carries
  • Documentation and samples provided for consultant and builder sign-off
  • Seamless finish reduces the trip-hazard risk of settling joints

Why resin suits commercial work

Permeability is often why clients come to us for it. A surface that lets water through reduces what has to be handled by grated drainage, and around planting and street trees it puts water where the landscape architect intended.

The seamless finish matters for a second reason on commercial sites — joints and unit paving are where trip hazards develop as things settle. A continuous surface has fewer places to fail in that particular way, though no surface is maintenance-free and we won't pretend otherwise.

It also resurfaces over existing hardstand. On an operating asset, that's frequently the deciding factor — the difference between a staged upgrade and closing the entrance for a demolition.

How we deliver commercial work

Programme first. We work out what has to stay open, what can be closed and when, and stage the works around that. Out-of-hours and weekend pours are normal on entrances and retail frontages.

Set-out and samples are agreed before the first mix, not negotiated on the day. Where a finish has been specified from a drawing, we provide physical samples for approval so there's no argument about what was intended.

Documentation is provided for handover. What that includes depends on what your consultant or building manager requires — tell us at tender stage and we'll confirm what we can supply rather than promising a document set we haven't seen the requirements for.

Common questions

Why specify resin bound paving over concrete or unit pavers?

Unit paving settles, and its joints are where weeds and trip hazards develop; poured concrete stays grey and unforgiving on a public frontage. A seamless natural stone surface has fewer places to fail, drains through rather than ponding, and keeps a considered, premium look under constant foot traffic.

How long does a commercial surface last, and is it under warranty?

Specified and laid correctly for the traffic it actually carries, it’s a long-term surface, and our workmanship is backed by a 10-year warranty (terms and conditions apply) alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The warranty terms are set out in writing with the quote.

Can you stage the works so the site never has to close?

Yes — this is how most of our commercial work runs. We agree the programme with your builder or site manager, stage the areas so access is maintained, and lay out-of-hours or over weekends where a frontage trades through the day.

Do you provide documentation for consultants and building managers?

Yes. Finishes are specified to a documented standard, physical samples are approved before the first mix, and handover documentation is prepared to suit the project — tell us at tender or quote stage what your consultant needs and we’ll confirm exactly what we’ll supply.

Can it be laid over our existing hardstand?

Often, yes. Provided the existing surface is structurally sound we resurface straight over it, which avoids demolition on an operating site. We assess it honestly before quoting, and any base work needed is priced as its own line rather than discovered mid-programme.

How is the surface maintained once it’s down?

Routine sweeping and an occasional wash keep it presentable — there are no joints to re-sand and no pavers to relay. We hand over straightforward maintenance guidance with the job, so your facilities team knows exactly what the surface needs and what it doesn’t.

How do I get a price?

Send through the drawings or the site details — areas, existing surface, programme — or ask us to walk the site with you. We’ll come back with a fixed written quote with the scope and staging spelled out — free, and with no obligation.
