Resurfaced concrete driveway in a smooth pale finish leading to a modern home entrance

Our driveway resurfacing

Your driveway is the first thing anyone sees of your home — and the fastest thing resin bound resurfacing transforms. We lay a seamless natural stone finish directly over your existing concrete or asphalt, turning a cracked, stained or dated surface into the feature of the frontage in days, not weeks.

Because your existing slab keeps doing the structural work, there’s no demolition, no skip bins and no machinery tearing up the property — at a fraction of the cost of ripping out and re-pouring. Water drains straight through the new surface instead of pooling, and the colour is real natural stone chosen to suit your home, not poured grey.

With Signature Resin Paving you get the job done properly: premium resin systems, an honest assessment of your driveway before we quote, a fixed written price, and a 10-year workmanship warranty behind the finish. The people who quote your driveway are the people who lay it.

Where it works

01

Ageing concrete

Faded, stained or hairline-cracked slabs that are still structurally sound underneath.

02

Tired asphalt

Bitumen driveways that have gone grey, rutted or patchy but haven't failed structurally.

03

Mismatched additions

Driveways extended or patched over the years that no longer read as one surface.

Key benefits

  • No demolition, no skip bins, far less mess and disruption
  • Existing slab or asphalt does the structural work, so it's a fraction of a full replacement's cost
  • Covers stains, patch repairs and surface cracking in one continuous finish
  • Permeable surface, so water drains through rather than pooling
  • Colour and aggregate blend chosen to suit the house, not poured grey
  • Driveway is back in use in days rather than weeks

What we check before quoting

The honest answer to whether resurfacing suits your driveway depends on why it looks the way it does. Surface-level problems — staining, wear, shallow cracking, old patch repairs — are exactly what resurfacing solves well.

Structural problems are different. If sections have dropped relative to each other, a crack runs full depth with each side moving independently, or the surface is lifting over a tree root, the substrate is the issue rather than the surface.

We look at the cracking pattern, check for hollow or drummy areas, and ask what changed and when. If the driveway needs base work before it can carry a new surface, that goes into the quote as its own line rather than being discovered halfway through.

How we install it

We mechanically prepare the existing surface so the new layer has a sound, clean, keyed substrate to bond to. Oil staining and other contamination gets treated rather than covered.

We respect existing movement joints and carry them through the new surface — a joint exists because the slab needs somewhere to move, and surfacing straight over it without accounting for that is how a crack reappears.

We retain the falls from your existing driveway, since the water already goes somewhere. Where the existing falls are the actual problem, that's a conversation we have with you before we start.

Common questions

Why resurface instead of replacing the whole driveway?

Replacing a driveway means demolition crews, skip bins, weeks without a driveway and a much bigger bill — usually to end up with plain grey concrete. Resurfacing keeps the sound slab you already own, transforms what you actually see and drive on, and gets you a premium natural stone finish in days at a fraction of the cost.

How long does a resurfaced driveway last, and is it under warranty?

Prepared and laid correctly, a resin bound driveway is a 15-plus year surface, and our workmanship is backed by a 10-year warranty (terms and conditions apply) alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law. The warranty terms come to you in writing with the quote.

Will old oil and rust stains show through?

No — deep-set staining is treated as part of surface preparation rather than simply covered. Heavy contamination can affect how well the new surface bonds, so we assess and treat it properly before laying anything over it.

Can resurfacing fix a driveway that pools water?

Often, yes. A shallow, localised low spot can usually be built out within the new surface, and because the finish itself is permeable, everyday rain drains through it rather than sitting on top. If the whole driveway falls the wrong way structurally, we’ll tell you honestly and discuss re-grading before quoting.

How long does the work take?

Most residential driveways are completed in a matter of days rather than weeks, with a short cure period before vehicles drive on it. We confirm the exact programme in your quote so you can plan around it.

Can you match the driveway to my paths and entrance?

Yes. We can run the same aggregate blend across the driveway, paths and entrance so the whole frontage reads as one considered surface rather than a patchwork of materials laid at different times.
